Our Quality Standards

Bidi manufacturing completes in the following stages and our quality checks in each stage.

Selection of Tobacco: Our Quality Control Team (QCT) selects premium quality tobacco from different places/ Vendors to procure and blends with three/four different types of tobacco as per QCT approved formula to give good taste, smell to tobacco. Each batch of the mixed blended tobacco will be tasted by QCT and on their approval only the blended tobacco will be used for making of bidi sticks.
Selection of Tendu (Bidi) Leaf: Our QCT conducts survey of forest units in leaf season to select best quality tendu leaves by observing leaf texture, color, thickness, etc. and procures the best quality tendu (bidi) leaves. The handpicked tendu leaves will be dried in natural conditions under the sun to dry the moisture in leaf and to protect the leafs natural color.
Wrapping in a sized Tendu leaf: The dried tendu leaf is sized (cut) by an experienced bidi roller to roll the bidi stick with blended tobacco.
Tie up with a particular thread: After rolling bidi stick the roller with her/his fingers rolls the bidi and makes flat at the bottom-end and round at the top-end. This bidi stick is tied at the flat end with a particular colored cotton thread to identify the bidi brand and manufacturer.
Baking in oven: To remove the moisture in Tendu leaf and to give unique savor that brings tremendous joy to the smoker, the bidi were backed for a period of more than 12 hrs in a specially designed oven for this purpose. After baking the bidis are roasted in charcoal fire in a specially designed Roasting Chamber to obtain unique flavor and give a rewarding smoke with a consistent burn quality.
Multilevel Bidi quality checks to segregate inferior quality bidi: After making of bidi at manufacturing branch, bidi quality will be checked by QCT before baking and roasting of bidi at initial level i.e., at manufacturing branch and check at secondary level i.e., at manufacturing centre and final check at manufacturing office to segregate inferior quality bidi.

Charbhai Small Bidi Charbhai Small bidi is a most popular premium brand and popularly known as Charbhai Longi Bidi (CBL). 25 quality small bidi of superior tobacco tied with blue color thread and wrapped inside of Charbhai label and called as "Bidi katta". 20 bidi katas packed in a packet called "Bidi Puda". Each carton contains 48 bidi pudas and each jute bag contains 2 cartoon boxes with 48,000 bidis in total. The size of small bidi is 6.00 mm in length.
Charbhai Big Bidi Charbhai Big bidi is another popular premium brand and popularly known as Charbhai Big Bidi (CBB). 25 quality big bidi of superior tobacco tied with blue color thread and wrapped inside of Charbhai label and called as "Bidi katta". 20 bidi katas packed in a packet called "Bidi Puda". Each carton contains 36 bidi pudas and each jute bag contains 2 cartoon boxes with 36,000 bidis in total. The size of big bidi is 7.30 mm in length
